And the Winner is...

The Kiryat Hayeled Hall was packed. Hidabroot Channel anchors and speakers, rabbanim and guests crowded the room, and anticipation filled the air.

Viewers and listeners around the world tuned in to the special evening program and now everyone waited with bated breath. Rabbi Shammai Gross, renowned dayan and member of the Hidabroot rabbinical board slowly picked the winning ticket.

Family Edry of Yerushalayim were sound asleep when they received the phone call. It took time for it to register that they were now owners of a beautiful two bedroom apartment in the heart of chareidi Jerusalem.

"Yes, I did buy a ticket. But I bought it to support Hidabroot and their wonderful work. I entirely forgot about the raffle." R' Edry stammered.

Edry, 28, married and a baal teshuva slowly revealed. "My family cut all ties with me when I was chozer beteshuva. I was left alone with only my convictions and beliefs and of course my rabbis. Suddenly two years ago, my family began tentatively reaching out to me. Their scorn and derision seemed to have changed into respect. I was left scratching my head trying to figure out what brought about this change but too happy to rock the boat with any questions. With time, they, my family, came closer to yiddishkeit and their respect for me grew. It seems they'd become hooked on the Hidabroot channel and were slowly going down the path I'd tread. When I saw the Hidabroot Apartment Giveaway raffle advertised, I just had to buy a ticket. I needed to say thank you for bringing my family back home."

Proceeds from the raffle will baruch Hashem support Hidabroot Channel's programs for months to come, allowing them to continue to bring Hashem's lost children home.

Rav Shmuel Lezer Stern, member of Hagaon Harav Wosner shlit"a's beis din, and member of the Hidabroot Rabbinical board, ended the evening saying, "All supporters of Hidabroot are winners. Giving a hand to the biggest kiruv effort ever makes us all real winners."

And The Winner is... Mrs. Margalit Dahan of Bnei Brak whose ticket #52016 was drawn by Rav Shmiel Lazer Shtern, a member of Rav Wosners Bais Din, as the winner of the Grand Hidabroot Raffle. But as all the Rabbanim who spoke at the event said, "Anyone who has contributed in this campaign is a real winner"
